Jan Hulsker System

We display on our site many of Vincent van Gogh's more than 870 paintings. Some  have the same name, are the same size, and were painted in the same year -- even the same month. So we now use Jan Hulsker's numbering system published in his “The Complete van Gogh”, 1980. The Hulsker catalog number format we use is: “JH 1597”. In the case of at least four of Vincent's paintings, there is no Hulsker number so we use Jacob-Baart de la Faille's system. We hope this helps you find and easily commission the exact totally hand painted oil on canvas reproduction painting you want.
